"New Roman Times" is a concept album by the alternative rock band Camper Van Beethoven, released in CD format by Vanguard. The album showcases the band's signature eclecticism and sharp wit through intricate storytelling and diverse musical arrangements. Camper Van Beethoven formed in California during the 1980s and quickly became known for their genre-defying sound and clever lyrics. Their earlier successes include cult classics like "Take the Skinheads Bowling" and influential albums such as "Key Lime Pie."
